In the surroundings of Sosua are many nice attractions, there is a great offer of organized tours.
For example: a trip to Samana to visit a small, tropical island with white sandy beaches and clear blue waters. If you like excitement you can go riverrafting, or horsebackriding in the beautiful nature and on the beach, go on a real jeepsafari through the mountains and the woods, swim in the crystalclear waterfalls of Jarabacoa and if you want to see the sights of the town visit Santo Domingo, Santiago or Haïti.

Ofcourse you can also make your own trips, for about US$ 5 you travel with a luxury bus (with airconditioning/toilet/television) in 4 hours to the capital Santo Domingo. This trip is really worth it, you will see the various landscape and enjoy the great views in the country.

Closer to Sosua you can visit the town Puerto Plata or the village Cabarete which is known for the good windsurf possibilities and beautiful caves. At about 4 kilometers from Sosua there is a new opened Aquapark with several swimmingpools and huge slides.
